I will put you through step by step on how to copy and paste your Adsense Code Snippet from your Adsense account into your Website/Blog post in other for Google to display Ads on your page. 

Although, recently Google has introduced the auto-ads system which places ads on the pages of those whose blogs or websites have been verified by the Google server (Google bot).

What are Ads?

Ads stand for advertisements. It could also be an abbreviation for "advertiser digital service". It is a string of computer code written to advertise online businesses. Google ads are built around popular keywords that are connected to the online searches people make online per given time. Google offers both organic ads and paid ads. The organic ad is a free and natural ad that appears on your blog without you paying for it. On the other hand, paid ads are paid for as the word implies. Customers bid for this kind of ads and pay for it to promote their business. They are charged when people click on those ads. This is referred to as pay-per-click (PPC) or cost-per-click (CPC).

However, these ads are fully responsive and customizable. So, in this tutorial, we will show you how to quickly customize your ads by copying, editing, and positioning the ads code snippet and also make money from them.

What is Adsense Code Snippet?

This is a line of code Google supplies to users to copy and paste into your website/Blog in other for Google server to display Ads on your page. When you successfully paste this code and have also met the basic requirements to be approved by the Google team to use Adsense, YOU WILL START EARNING BIG TIME WITH YOUR WEBSITE/BLOG!

It's important that you paste the ad code between the <body> and </body> tags of your page. If you paste the ad code outside the <body> tags, it will prevent your ads from appearing correctly on your site.

STEP 1: OPEN YOUR ADSENSE (REGISTERED) ACCOUNT

Click on My Ads at the left panel

Click on Ads Unit; when the page opens, click on the New ad unit to create the type of Ads you would love to display on your page.

Click on 'get code' to retrieve the Adsense Code Snippet

Copy the code

STEP 2: OPEN YOUR BLOGGER

  • Go to 'Create New Post'

At the left pane, click on Theme. When it opens, click on Edit HTML. When it opens, paste the Ads snippet code at the appropriate position as shown below:

Positioning the ads on your site with HTML

Just like the other elements of your site (images, paragraphs, etc.), you can change the position of your Google ads by using HTML tags (<div>, <table>, etc.). For example, if you surround your ad code with the HTML tags <div align="center"> and </div>, your ads will appear in the center of your page.

STEP 3: SAVE YOUR WORK AND PUBLISH

When you are done publishing, just go and sip a cup of coffee!
